Pamela comes from a family of artists
Hugh Lofting, a great uncle and author of the children’s books, Doctor Dolittle. Also, Morris Meredith Williams, a renowned landscape and WW2 artist. These were her heroes as a child and remain a strong influence today. Her passion to observe and capture people and life in our different surroundings has spanned over 30 years.She has lived and worked as an illustrator and fine artist internationally; in New York, Hong Kong and Europe.
After completing a Graphic Design Degree from Manchester in 1975, Pamela left England for Greece. There, she developed the art of sketching and painting in watercolours. This established the foundation of her work today. She returned to London in 1980 and later, moved to New York. There she continued to explore and develop her work. The aim to learn about movement drew her to work with animators in New York. This, eventually brought her back to London where she established her permanent studio in 1991.
From 1996 to 1997, Pam spent a year living and sketching in Hong Kong, documenting the events leading up to and during the handover. This honed her skills, to work quickly and accurately at events, often unnoticed. From this intense period of work, a unique collection was completed. At the final exhibition, since a broad picture of Hong Kong life had evolved, she was encouraged to set up a Greeting Card business in Hong Kong which was established, and has since flourished.

Regular courses and workshops are held at the London studio with the main focus based on a strong foundation of sketching. She believes that;
'Just as a building has a foundation, every work of art or design is based on good observation and the understanding of materials. This is the backbone and heart of every artists success'
